Kgetša Primary School started on the 20th of January 1977. The School was started by members of Matobole Village (at Ga-Maja) under the leadership ofona Ralebofu Zim Lesetsa (Sakia).The school was named after the late Orica Mapula Ralebofu, who was married to the late Ntogo Dickson Ralebofu, who was the daughter in low to the Ralefofu clan. She was from the Chuene Royal Family at Ga-Chuene.

The Community started this school because their children were schooling at Ga-Mothiba Ngwanamago which is plus minus 3Km, because in the olden days there was no transport, this was a long distance to traveling foot.

We are a primary situated at Matobole Village, Ga-Maja. at Kgetša we aim to give every child the best start possible to their education. The Early Years are crucial to a child’s development and our Foundation Phase, Intermediate Phase and Senior Phase enable the children to get their school careers off to a flying start.

Throughout the school we want our children to enjoy a wide range of experiences which bring the curriculum to life and make learning fun. All our staffs work hard to ensure the best possible quality of education for the children in every year group.
